Meet Victoria

Nutritional Therapist

I have had a lifelong passion for food. After completing my degree in Hotel and Catering Management, my partner and I opened Wild Thyme Cafe in 2006. As keen travellers, we love to bring vibrant, travel-inspired culinary ideas back to our cafe. We also take pride in creating menus that focus on health-promoting ingredients, including meals, drinks, and juices.

 

I enjoy foraging for herbs and growing my own food here in beautiful North Devon because I believe that living seasonally has great benefits. Whenever I've looked for solutions to my health issues I’ve been drawn to natural food-based remedies, as I’m convinced of the healing power of nutrients. This conviction inspired me to become a Nutritional Therapist, which led me to complete a three-year Diploma in Homoeopathic Nutrition at the College of Natural Medicine.

 

Studying the science behind nutrition and how it supports health, prevents illness, and manages chronic conditions has been enlightening. My diploma emphasised evidence-based nutrition science, functional medicine, and holistic health approaches. This deep dive into the science of nutrition has fueled my passion for helping people find health through food - It's true that we are what we eat!

As a practitioner, I believe that each individual is unique. I focus on identifying the root causes of your relevant symptoms. Through personalised dietary and lifestyle advice, I guide you towards better health, helping your body return to balance.

My approach emphasises pro-metabolic health. I aim to optimise your metabolic rate, support hormonal balance, enhance energy levels, and reduce stress and inflammation. 

 

It is essential to provide our bodies with the right nutrients in the proper balance to meet our unique personal needs. Supporting our bodies in effectively processing food and absorbing and utilising nutrients is crucial. Without this, we may struggle to function optimally, which can lead to weight gain, fatigue, or other health issues.
